California
This is my first post about our summer vacation.
On July 30 we flew to Ontario, California. My friend Bren, along with her husband and baby boy Elliot, picked us up from the airport. We went from there to In 'N' Out, a southern California staple. The burgers were mighty tasty! After that, we went back to Bren & Charlie's house to relax for awhile. We then went to a mall somewhere (there are so many suburb cities of L.A.!) so I could get some face wash. After that, we went to the airport again to pick up our rental car. We split up into two cars so that Charlie could get some cash and so us gals could go back to their house to pick up bathing suits for Dan & me. We drove through a Mexican restaurant to get some food and then over to Bren's parents' house to swim in the pool. What a full day!
The next morning, we woke up leisurely. Bren & Charlie made us some lovely breakfast burritos. Around 10:00 or 10:30, we started on the road.
It was soooo nice to stay with Bren, Charlie, and Elliot! They were so hospitable and generous with their time (and money, for heaven's sake). What a blessing it is to have friends like these. :)
