Job hunt continues

Dan's job hunt continues. It looks like there won't be any leads until after the Bar results come in, which is pretty discouraging, but that's life. I know he's over being at home, and I know I'm over being at work. Just a little more patience is required, I suppose.

TTC update

Last Wednesday, we went to my doctor to get some help. We've been trying for eight full cycles w/no success. In fact, we haven't really been avoiding pregnancy for over two years. So it was time to look into assistance. Thank God for my doctor! The midwife agreed with me that help was needed, and she went to get a doctor. He raved over my charts (how awesome to find a doc who understood them!), talked to us, ordered bloodwork for me, ordered a test for Dan, and gave me an Rx for Clomid.

My bloodwork all came back normal. I finished this cycles doses of Clomid on 9/19/05, and now I'm waiting for ovulation. From what I've read, it should happen 5-8 days after the end of the regimen, but I doubt that given my history. Dan's test was Monday, and we're waiting for the doctor to call back. He will probably call on Monday (9/26) with the results.

It was such a blessing to have a doctor who understood and was immediately proactive!

Poor blog...

So neglected! I guess I've preferred lately not to think about what I think! :)

Got more makeup :)

I finally was able to get more makeup. :) I ordered the Goddess Kit and two shadows from Sephora.

The Goddess Kit is terrific! I absolutely love the eye colors (Trust and Intuition) and the blush (Compassion). I do like the liner shadow (Humor), too. The lip liner (Earth) is a great neutral, the gloss (Gossamer) is great, and the tinted lip balm (Love) is really lovely. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the all-over face color (Gossamer)...it's really sparkly, and I don't do the sort of going out (clubbing?) that would require that sort of shimmer. Maybe if there's a special event someday...

Adventure is a great neutral matte shadow. It's not a true brown b/c it has some mauvish/clayish sort of undertones, but I like it. Nude Beach is a good glimmer, but I'm not as crazy about it as other BE Addicts seem to be. It's a lot more shimmery than Trust, which is also a glimmer, but maybe it just takes some getting used to. I'm certainly not sending it back.

Today, I'm wearing Nude Beach from lash to brow, Adventure all over the lid, and Coffee Bean as my liner. I think Humor is more for work or "dressing up," so Coffee Bean is still my neutral liner of choice.
