Book reviews

I'm thinking of trying book reviews, just to post here not to try to get published. I may start this with the book I just finished Divided in Death by Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb. Hmmm. It's a way to get back into writing a bit, and it's a way to keep reading part of my life.

Another one bites the dust!

Another friend (this time at church) announced her pregnancy this weekend. Gah. No, they weren't trying. They were just being open to the idea. Phhhhhttttt!

Maybe it will be our turn someday.

Lesson learned...

So I tried another mineral makeup. I'm sure it's fine for other gals, but honestly? It just doesn't stack up to bareMinerals. BE is creamier and just feels better. I don't know how else to describe it. In addition, this other brand made my pores look huge. Uh, no thanks. I can do that on my own!

The colors look pretty, but they've been pretty bland on. I'll probably use the ones I have just b/c I spent money on them, but overall...meh.

Anyway, I learned my lesson. It's BE for me. No need for me to waste my time (and money!) on other products when I have one that definitely works.

Another makeup pic

Here are my eyes...I used the Watercolors blendable eye collection (Enchanting, Wonder, Impression), sort of the way Leslie talked about last night on the QVC show.

I did Enchanting all over, Wonder on the outside, and then Impression just touched right on the center of my lid. The liner is Coffee Bean.

The verdict...

The doc dx my wrist as tendonitis. At least it's not carpal tunnel! I hope the pain meds work to make it feel better. Ick.

Whew!

My wrist seems to be feeling better today, thankfully. My hand gets all tingly when I hold it up, though, so carpal tunnel (or something like that) still seems likely. At least it's treatable!

My mom had a dream...

Not that it means any more than my own dream, but my mom dreamed that I had twins. She didn't remember any details other than the fact she was with me helping with them. Ah, wouldn't that be quite the blessing!!!!!!
