Ouch

My left wrist hurts. I wish I knew what's wrong with it. The ACE bandage doesn't seem to be helping, though the heating pad gave some relief. Stupid pain I don't understand!

Meh

What a life:
  • Stinky day at work (no, why would we let the people who know the program best and have worked their tails off to create a model actually help create the template?) -- if I'd had a choice, I would've left for good. I don't know when I'll have that choice, and it stinks.
  • First day of my period -- once again, not pregnant
  • VBS with the most out-of-control group in the whole program -- I've asked Dan not to allow me to sign up to help again.
It's just too much.

Dream a little dream

...or a misleading dream.

I dreamed last night I was breastfeeding my son. It was so sweet! I only wish it were true. Today, I have awful cramps, bad enough for a heating pad. Now is that fair after my dream? *sigh*

Searching

We've expanded our search for work into the federal government. My last search encompassed Colorado, Hawaii (hi, Danielle!), North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, West Virginia, and Kentucky. I got around 45 hits on the fed site yesterday. Dan's meeting with the career dude at his school (alma mater now) on Tuesday to talk about what his resume should have on it when he posts there. It sure would be nice to have a job lined up for him!!!

Yep, they call me the patient one

Indeed, they do not. Heh.

I'm 9DPO today, and I've been battling PMS-type symptoms for the past two or three days. Yesterday was awful...I was angry and emotional and grrrrr. I'm bloated. My boobs hurt (that's not unusual). I hate getting my hopes up. Father's Day is tomorrow, and I (of course) have these wonderful ideas of getting to tell Dan he's going to be a father and of getting to call my father to tell him he has another grandchild on the way. It's too early, though. *sigh*

Patience, thy name is not Rebekah.

Patterns....

Looks like I post on the weekends. :) I always think about posting, but then I don't do it until weekend strolls in. Is it a bad thing that I'm this predictable?

BE wish list

Makeup I want to try from BE:
  • Clear Radiance
  • Neutral eye colors (I like the watercolors kit, but I need some neutrals) -- the "Nude Beach" collection at QVC intrigues me
  • Another blush (I have Beauty, and it's gorgeous, but I'd like another option)
  • Glee
  • The brow kit
  • More liner shadows, possibly Grass and Root
  • The Wearable Mauve or Wearable Nude lip kit (lip liner, lipstick, and lipgloss)
  • The precision eye liner brush to give me more options with the liners (smoky looks, for example)
  • Bisque
  • The Goddess Kit
Yes, that list is too long. Gah. And expensive! Lemme add that up...

Goddess Kit = $60
Bisque = $18
Liner Shadows = $12
Brow Kit = $32
Each eye color = $12 or $13
Blush = $18
Glee = $20
Clear Radiance = $18
The Wearable lip collections = $30
Liner brush = $12 (at Sephora)...though I might go for the double-ended brush that's $24

Hmmmm...that hurts to think about! It comes to $233 with getting just one. And I'd like more than one of the eye colors. Sheesh. Good thing I generally buy only a couple of things at a time!

Currently feelin' ok

I'm feeling all right lately about whether we get pregnant or not. I'd prefer not to have to wait, but God's plan is far better than anything I can understand.

The one thing on my mind right now is whether we'll be able to go to our five year college reunion next summer. If we're pregnant now, my due date would be around March 2. That's a pretty good distance from summer, giving us a 3.5-month-old baby to take to the reunion. That's not bad at all. Any closer, and it looks like trouble. I certainly couldn't travel if the due date were in May or June. Hmmm. Looks like I'll just leave it to the Lord to decide when we're ready. :)

Who would've thought?

Heh...Rambaldi ate some of his poop today. That's disgusting. So I brushed his teeth. I got a toothbrush (a freebie that came with toothpaste), put just a smidge of toothpaste on it, wet it, and went to work. I can't say he enjoyed it, but he got his teeth and tongue brushed pretty well. He started licking the carpet when I finished. I guess it didn't taste too good to him! Hee!
