TTC update
We've started seeing an RE, and we're feeling pretty optimistic. I got an hCG trigger shot yesterday to force ovulation (I had a mature follicle, so it was a good idea), and I start Prometrium on Saturday. That could knock me flat on my back, but hey. :) I go in for a beta pg test (blood test) on 1/11 (my dad's birthday). If it's negative, I stop taking the Prometrium. If it's positive, I don't.
This is hard, not to mention expensive. Our insurance covers none of this, and it's not cheap. For example, an ultrasound is $350. Yesterday's visit should have cost over $500!! Thankfully, they decided not to charge for the u/s this time, so it was under $150. God is good! And the Prometrium was $145 for about two weeks' worth. Yowza!
We're praying for this one to be "the one" because we really can't afford the other tests (the next one she wants to do costs $1,700!!!!) and treatment (can be upwards of $1,600 for a single cycle, not counting u/s & stuff). If it's not our time still yet, well, Dan needs to get a job so we can afford it. ;o)
All that to say this...if you can, play with me!
