Hey, I'm still not pregnant!

Once my temp drops the rest of the way, that'll be the death knell for Clomid cycle #3. I have one more refill, but a large part of me wants to just drop it and wait for injectables. Clomid doesn't seem to help me, really. I may ovulate, but it's not earlier than on metformin (for PCOS) alone and it's certainly not stronger, as evidenced by my temperatures. I hate that a standard med like Clomid doesn't do much of anything for me. In some ways, I'm looking forward to trying injectables b/c I think they might actually do something. In other ways, I know that this treatment course is so much more expensive and time-consuming. The costs go up b/c the drugs are pretty dang costly (that's not the only drug on the market, but it gives you some idea of how outrageous the prices are) and monitoring (regular ultrasounds and bloodwork to see how the ovaries are responding to the stimulation) isn't free...something like $300 per u/s. In addition, we have the added difficulty of transportation; we have only one car, which my husband needs to travel to his court dates. Not only is he not always available to take me to appointments, but the car isn't always available. Bah.

It looks like we'll be in yet another situation of needing to ask for help, at least for transportation. All we can do is pray that I respond appropriately so that we wouldn't need more than a normal three u/s in a given cycle (yep, that's $900 right there!!).
