Grrrr ... or It figures
My job is silly. Ok, not my job. My company is silly. We have this huge project in which we're converting all our data (members, providers, and claims) from one system that is DOS- or UNIX-based to another that is Windows-based. Initially, TPTB decided we'd go live, company-wide, on 1/1/05. Yeeeeeeah. We were then going to go live in Texas only on 4/1/05. Ok. That's fine. Yesterday, we learned that the go-live date (again, only for Texas) is 6/1/05. So we're at a six-month pushback. Configuration isn't done. A training environment for training our associates isn't done.
Anyway, I'm thankful that this is my retirement year. The frustration is just too much. I can't stay somewhere that is so clearly disorganized and uncaring about realistic goals.
